Refrigeration Compressor Oil 68-N

LUBRIPLATE Refrigeration Compressor Oil 68-N is a highly refined naphthenic oil formulated for use in refrigeration compressor systems utilizing ammonia, CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) and HCFC (hydrochlorofluorocarbon) refrigerants such as R-717, R-11, R-12, R-13, R-113, R-114, R-115, R-22, R-123, R-141b, R-142b, R-500, R-501 and R-502. LUBRIPLATE Refrigeration Compressor Oil 68-N is essentially wax-free as shown by its low pour point and floc temperature. It will not “wax-out” under low temperature conditions typically encountered in most systems. Equipment lines, evaporator, expansion valve and refrigerant control devices stay clean allowing for maximum system efficiency. LUBRIPLATE Refrigeration Compressor Oil 68-N is also chemically and thermally stable which minimizes the formation of harmful varnish, gum and sludge deposits. LUBRIPLATE Refrigeration Compressor Oil 68-N is not recommended for use with (HFC) (hydroflurocarbon) refrigerants such as HFC-134a (R-134a). Distinctions between the different types are not always observed in technical literature. CFC, HCFC, or HFC are sometimes referred to as CFC or Freon in reference to all three molecular types. Therefore, an investigation as to which refrigerant is being used is necessary. LUBRIPLATE Refrigeration Compressor Oil 68-N meets both Carrier and Trane specifications for use in their refrigeration compressors.
